There will be a U16 Tier 2 tryout/placement Sunday January 25th from 2-3:45pm at Ecole Sommet. Sufficient interest/numbers will be required in order to have a team.

Seeking Sand Jam Volunteers

If anyone is interested in working Sand Jam, we need people to work as scorekeepers and also doing the lines. There will be some compensation along with the Sand Jam t-shirt and pass for the entire event.

1. Train to Develop and Compete - CO-ED

               July 2-4

               3 Age Groups: 8-10, 11-13, 14-16

               Residence is an option

               *for any athlete not attending the EDC - who doesn't want to miss out

2. Prospects - (technical, video analysis, fueling for performance, strength and conditioning, mental skills)

               July 28-31

               Age Group: 16-18

               Residence is an option

               *We currently have some high level athletes interested in pursuing volleyball at the post-secondary level attending from both within province and out of province

Super Sonic Rice Bags for sale - $15 each!

Enjoy the cozy warmth of a microwaveable rice bag to soothe sore muscles, warm chilly fingers and toes and take away aches and pains.  It’s about the size of a hot water bottle, and will last for years – even if used daily.

The bags are constructed of blue denim and filled with rice.  They usually take about three minutes to heat in a microwave.  Note the volleyball ribbon detail on the bag – it can be ordered in green, yellow or pink with white volleyballs, or bright rainbow stripes (no volleyball).

U14Tier 1 Gold medal finish against Fusion-Muise in the Skyhawks Invitational. A complete 9 member solid gold team effort..Way to go girls!

Congratulations to the Sonics U-14 Tier 1 team for their Gold medal finish in the Truro Lynx Tournament....a special shout out to Lori Comeau for her hard work on the court, and to Amy Perry for her strong Service points in every game that got our team to a gold medal finish.

Congratulation Derek Brooks- CCAA Coach of the Year!

Derek has received Coach of the Year for the Canadian College Athletic Association. His Mount Saint Vincent girls team begin play in the CCAA Nationals today at Seneca College in Toronto. Below is a link to a brief blurb in today's Chronicle Herald.
